Adilabad police solve kidnapping case in under six hours.

Adilabad district police responded promptly, rescuing a kidnapped four-year-old girl safely and reuniting her with her parents within just six hours. Police have arrested two women in connection with the kidnapping.

 

According to details, Athram Gangamani, a four-year-old girl from Ruyadi village in Talamadugu Mandal, went missing on July 28. After the child’s mother, Athram Kapilibai, lodged a complaint at the Talamadugu Police Station at 5:00 PM, the police immediately registered a kidnapping case and launched an investigation.

 

Acting on the orders of District SP Akhil Mahajan (IPS), special teams were formed under the supervision of Adilabad DSP Jeevan Reddy. These teams included Rural CI Rahim Pasha, Rural SI Vishnuvardhan, and Talamadugu SI Radhika.

 

The police teams conducted extensive search operations in Adilabad, Tamsi, and other areas. The investigation proceeded by examining CCTV footage from bus stands, major junctions, and roads, as well as by analyzing technical evidence.

As a result of the police’s relentless efforts, the child was located in the Mahalaxmi Wada area of Adilabad around 11:00 PM last night and was safely rescued. Subsequently, on Wednesday morning, District SP Akhil Mahajan handed the child over to her parents, Athram Jango and Athram Kapilibai, at the police headquarters.

 

The parents were overcome with emotion upon their daughter’s safe return. They expressed their gratitude to the district police, acknowledging that their daughter was recovered thanks to the police’s prompt action. Thanking the police officers and staff, they stated that they would remain indebted to the police for the rest of their lives.

 

According to police details, a woman named Neetham Nagubai from Ruyadi village had brought the girl to Adilabad without informing her family and handed her over to an acquaintance, Gumdiwar Bharati (25), near the bus stand.

 

The SP stated that Neetham Nagubai has been arrested on charges of abducting the girl, and Bharati has been arrested for illegally keeping the girl in her custody.

 

Speaking on the occasion, SP Akhil Mahajan made it clear that no negligence regarding children’s safety would be tolerated. He urged the public to immediately inform the nearest police station or dial 100 if any child goes missing or if any suspicious situation is observed. The SP specially commended Rural CI Rahim Pasha, SIs Radhika and Vishnuvardhan, and police personnel Lalu, Manoj, Srinivas, Sagar, Santhosh, Mounika, Gangaram, Naresh, Shivakrishna, and Pratap for their pivotal role in bringing the girl back safely.

 

Adilabad DSP Jeevan Reddy, Talamadugu SI Radhika, the girl’s parents, villagers, and police personnel participated in the event.
